Title: Back-to-Back Drawing
Summary:

The vi facilitator splits the group into pairs and the members of each pair sit back to back. One person gets a picture of a shape or simple image, and the other gets a piece of paper and pen. The person holding the picture gives verbal instructions to their partner on how to draw the shape or image they’ve been given (without simply telling them what the shape or the image is). After a certain amount of time, each set of partners will compare their images and see which team drew the most accurate replica.

Reflection and evaluation questions:

This exercise is reccomended to be finsihed with a group discussion around the topic of how the drawing went and what they were expecting to happen. Also another aspect that needs to be discussed is what was learned during this exercise and how we can transfer this lessons into real life.

Possible risk factors:

As most participants like to draw it is a fun exercise to be done with participants but in case participants are having visual impairment this exercise should be adapted to their needs or not organised at all. The vi facilitator needs to be supported by another sighted facilitator or a facilitator with partial sight.

Variations:

There is no age limit for this exercise.
