Title: Say hello
Summary:

Participants have blindfolds on their eyes. They put themselves into two rows, rows facing each other. They imagine they meet specific people, and they play roles. Subsequently, they say hello like:

- a teacher and a pupil,

- a friend with a friend,

- two neighbours who do not like each other,

- a director and his secretary

- we meet our Mum, who we have not seen for two weeks.

Objectives: Communication skills
Materials / Equipment needed: Blindfolds for participants
Group size: Any size (4 minimum)
Duration: 15 minutes
Step-by-step instructions: The steps and rules are explained in the summary.
Reflection and evaluation questions: After the game the participants share their reflexions and feelings: how it was to carry on tasks without sight? Was it, in their opinion different than if they did not have the blindfolds / if they could see? What about their comfort / well-being? What was the most difficult in it for them? Was there anything they enjoyed, and if yes, what was it? Other possibile questions to ask: Was this exercise pleasant? What else would they like to share about it?
Possible risk factors: Some participants can feel very uncomfortable with the blindfolds for different reasons - their refusal of using it should be accepted.
