Title: |
Rose |
Summary: |
Participants are seated. They put blinfolds on their eyes. Facilitator reads the text: Sit back, feel comfortable… imagine you are a rose bush. It is the height of summer. You have excellent conditions for development. The ground is fertile and moist; the sun shines and warms you with its rays. You grow and develop more and more. Your leaves are lush green, handsome and healthy. You release buds, the petals of which are opening up. You are in full bloom. The delicate fragrance of your flowers attracts many passers-by. Everyone admires you, but everyone is afraid of your thorns … But you need closeness to people you like, you want them to touch you, to be entranced by your scent. Imagine that you have been endowed with a power that will cause your spines to wither, and the bush will remain as beautiful as it was … You throw away the spikes … Now you are safe for others, anyone you agree can touch you. |

Reflection and evaluation questions: |
As the participants have blinfolds on their eyes, the reflexion goes around their perception of this activiity being without sight. Did they miss the sight? What were their feelings during the exercise? Did they like it? Did it have any infuence on their well-being? Was there anything they disliked and if yes, what was it? The reflexion can continue towards other senses which compensate the sight. E.g. which senses are the most important to them? Which senses are the most helpful for them in the everyday life? If they had to resign from something, would it be watching the movies or listening to the music? What is their favourite food, for its taste / for its smell? What would they like to eat, if they had no taste nor smell? |
Possible risk factors: |
